Archived Topic Box from the 2004 Fourth Annual Benchmark Report

Description:
The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) was developed so that OECD and other countries could improve their understanding of what makes young people and education systems in general successful. The data presented above are the second results from this program. See Appendix C of the 2004 Benchmark Report for information on the terms used and Appendix D of the same report for a table with all the international jurisdictions included.
