Vancouver B.C. -- The BC Progress Board today launched a web site which
will
provide the public with information on its activities and initiatives. It
will also provide an avenue for the public to send the Board ideas and advice
on improving our Province's economic performance. The web site is located
at www.bcprogressboard.com.
The 15 member BC Progress Board was appointed by the Premier in July of
this year to set up performance benchmarks to chart progress on the provincial
economy. It will also track BC's performance in other areas - such as health,
education and environmental protection. The first report from the Progress
Board will be delivered to the Premier in late January 2002.
